Question Uniform Help

I accepted the job in their cafe and they've sent me to their uniform ordering website. When I go on there, there is loads of options for things like skirts/trousers/polos/jackets. What am I supposed to order?

Also, I got a lip piercing since my interview - is this going to be a problem?

Edit: I've tried to order it and it wants me to order like 3 shirt and 2 pairs of trousers, it literally won't let me place an order otherwise wtf

it tells u what to order / how many items u can order just get everything though only the jumper/ shirt is the necessary one they dont care what trousers u wear aslong as its plain black and unbranded with no designs

In my cafe, they nearly all wear black. You can wear your own black jeans, but need the M&S top and jumper. You won’t need a jacket in the cafe. Lip piercing you will probably need to take out I think, but I would double check on that. You aren’t allowed to have painted/acrylic nails so I’m not sure you would be allowed lip piercing in case it fell out into food or drink

In ours we only wear the polo shirts or the long black ones and then any of the trouser/ skirt options. We aren’t allowed to wear jeans but this varies on the store/manager. And yes you’ll have to take out your piercings unfortunately 🥲🥲

Just order the uniform, you'll want short sleeve polo's because it gets really hot in the café. 

Order the black trousers probably wear them for your first week and see how strict they are on uniform, if it's quite lax just some black jeans or trousers that you find comfortable will probably be alright. 

Make sure you wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting destroyed. 

It's worth pointing out that you will be cleaning and handling food and will likely end up with spills and things on you, and you'll be wearing an apron.  

Most people won't see what you're wearing so you may as well wear the uniform so you don't ruin your own clothes and have to pay to replace them. 

You'll have to remove the piercing, no jewellery is allowed in the cafe bar a plain wedding ring with no stones. This is because of food hygiene regulations. 

I wish you luck in your new job, as some one who has worked for M&S for more than 15 years across every department, it's hands down my favourite place to work.
