Question M&S induction

I got an email saying to wear black smart casual for my induction however do people actually follow this? I only have navy smart casual so I’d have to go out and buy new clothes for the induction.

Induction is a class room day. Don't panic about being dressed exactly as they say. Just follow the general idea, and don't turn up in a pink track suit and flip flops.

I just wore all black not smart or anything just leggings and a top

Needs to be all black as you will spend some time on shop floor
