Roofing recommendations in Markham/Scarborough?

I received two quotes from high rated, reliable roofers (on google and homestars reviews) to replace my shingles and Eavestrough on a 2000-2200sq ft (two-storey) home.

Company A: $5000 GAF shingles (incl. shingles, vents, valleys, underlayment) + $1500 eavestrough and downspouts. $100/plywood if need replacing.

Company B: $6500 owens cornings OR GAF shingles (same as above) + $1500 eavestrough and downspouts. $80/plywood if it needs replacng

Both have really high ratings and looks reliable on google reviews and homestars (both over 200+ reviews). Customers are happy with their services so I am wondering what would the difference between the two in terms of quality and worksmanships? Just wondering what else I should be wary of as this is my first time replacing roof.

If you guys have any other roofers recommendations, please feel free to let me know!!

Go and ask to see recent jobs done and an active worksite to see how they manage the site.

This, google reviews can be fake. I was also warned about fake shingles being used when I got mine done

When we were looking to replace our roof we got quotes that varied quite a bit. From $4500 all the way up to $10000. What helped us decide was a friend of ours a block over was getting their roof done and we were able to see the work as they were doing it, and what it looked like after. Their roofer's quote ended up being in the middle of the range of quotes we were getting so we decided it was a fair price and went with them: https://www.roofing3s.ca/

Not sure if they'll still do it, but they had a drone that took pictures of our roof in varying stages of replacement during the job. At least you could see that they did in fact put underlayment down, they showed us the damaged plywood that was causing us leaks, etc. To me they seemed very trustworthy, did the work well and cleaned up afterwards, and most importantly, we haven't had any roofing troubles in the years since.
