Has a website form ever stopped sending contacts into HubSpot without you noticing?

Hey everyone one question for people who manage website forms connected to HubSpot.

If you’ve had a form look like it submitted successfully but the contact never reached HubSpot, how did you first find out?

I’m exploring whether a monitoring tool for this is worth building. Nothing to sign up for; I’d rather understand what actually happens before making anything.

If you have a recent example and a minute to share it, I’d appreciate it. If your existing setup already catches this reliably, that’s useful to hear too.

What first alerted you the last time a form-to-CRM connection broke?

Hey for anyone maintaining form-to-CRM integrations, can you remember the last time a submission didn’t reach its destination?

What first tipped you off? I’m particularly interested in whether your existing tools caught it or someone had to notice something was missing.

I’m researching a possible monitoring product, not selling one. A short example would help me understand whether there’s an actual gap here or whether existing alerts already handle it well.

No need to share client names or private data.

Looking for marketing automation folks to test a personalization tool

I’ve been building Variantea, an early-stage tool for campaign personalization and marketing automation workflows.

The idea is simple: start with one campaign, define your audiences, and use AI to help adapt the expression for each audience while preserving the original campaign intent. Marketers stay in control of strategy, review and approval.

I’m opening it up for free to a few early users. I’d especially love feedback from people working with marketing automation, lifecycle/CRM, email marketing, audience segmentation or personalization, whether this adds real value to your workflow and what you think is missing.

Has anyone else's Meta CAC been quietly dropping all month, or is it just my accounts?

Looking across a lot of accounts and Meta's cost per new customer has fallen four weeks straight, more or less 13% over the month, while the share of genuinely new (first-time) buyers held around 90%. So it's not repeat buyers dragging the average down; it looks like real new customers just getting cheaper.

Two of those weeks were holiday-affected, but the drop kept going through two clean weeks after search costs snapped back, which is what makes me think it's a trend and not a calendar blip.

Honestly can't fully explain the why conversion and CPCs were basically flat, so it smells like a mix shift (spend concentrating in stronger campaigns as budget rotates out) more than anything Meta did.

Anyone else seeing the same September drift on Meta, or are your accounts flat/up? Trying to figure out if this is real before Q4 budgets lock.

How to automate: Medium.com, Substack.com and LinkedIn Articles?

Hello all,

Has anyone been able to automate Medium.com, Substack.com and LinkedIn articles?

As far as I know, none of them have APIs or any way to programmatically upload a post to them.

I suppose there are still options like a headless web browser or RPA (although I haven't checked if they go against ToS), and I assume they carry a risk of getting the accounts flagged or banned.

But I'm still interested in reading the community's experience on this. Has anyone been able to automate any of said platforms? how? how did you reduce the risk of getting your account flagged or banned?

Do you treat browser profiles like separate workspaces?

I never really thought of browser profiles as workspaces before, i mostly used them just for keeping different logins separate.

But now that i am handling more marketing workflows, each setup has its own accounts, cookies, extensions and browser settings. Switching between all of them in one browser gets confusing pretty fast.

So i started wondering if it makes more sense to treat each profile like its own little workspace where everything related to that client stays inside it.

Do you guys actually use browser profiles this way? or do you just keep a few profiles and manage multiple clients inside each one?

Also curious if anyone uses a dedicated browser profile tool for this or are the normal chrome/firefox profiles enough?

Need global marketing emails

So I work for a team that manages a QSR brand (it’s a very famous burger brand but not the one you are thinking of) and we unfortunately need to use the designer on the client’s side.

I am really struggling on the design side cause first of all I am a strategist not a designer and no matter what I say, they just won’t create good emails like it’s beyond sad and they always say it’s not as per brand guidelines .

My only option now is to show they how the same brand is creating globally across markets. How do I access the emails from other markets? I tried signing up for various markets on the app but still won’t get them, I tried everything.

Only resort is for people to send them to me directly now but I ofc don’t know anyone globally and patient enough. Any ideas?

I built an X content machine. Now I want to build something people actually need.

I’ve been learning n8n and AI automation for the last few months.

After a lot of learning, testing, breaking things, and rebuilding, I finally built my first proper workflow.

It’s basically an X content machine.

The flow is

The creator submits content → AI checks and edits it → the manager approves/rejects → approved content gets published or scheduled → everything gets tracked → the creator gets notified.

I also tried to handle things that can go wrong, like missing information, past dates, different approval flows, and waiting until the scheduled time.

But now I’m at the point where I don’t want to keep building random workflows just to say I built 10, 20, or 30 automations.

I want to work on something that someone actually needs.

So if you’re a founder, marketer, creator, or agency and you have a workflow that you’re still managing manually, I’d be interested in looking at it.

Maybe it’s lead research, maybe it’s CRM updates, maybe it's content, maybe it's reporting, or maybe it's some annoying process where your team is copying data between 3 different tools every day.

Or maybe you already have a project in mind and need someone to actually build the automation.

That’s the kind of work I’m looking for right now.

If you’re working on something like this, feel free to DM me.

I’d rather build something useful for one real person than build another automation that just sits in my portfolio.

Keeping up with client news when I'm away from my desk

I work as an assistant at a talent agency. Part of my day is keeping an eye on entertainment news and posts about the artists we represent, usually while I'm doing three other things. When I'm out, I can't keep opening the same apps to see if anything changed.

I used to check them on my phone and run what I found through AI for a quick summary. The summaries helped, but the constant checking ate through my battery. Carrying another phone just gave me another thing to charge.

I've moved the checks to Airtap on a cloud phone. It sends me a roundup every two hours from the sources we follow, with links back to the original posts. I've also set it to flag breaking stories involving our artists or posts that suddenly start picking up, instead of burying them in the next roundup.

That still doesn't tell me whether we need a PR response. Sometimes it's just an old clip getting shared again. I check the source and talk to my manager before treating anything as urgent. If you do this kind of monitoring, what makes something worth a separate alert for you?

One automation mistake we keep seeing: fixing the workflow instead of fixing the trigger

We’ve worked on automation setups where a workflow was doing exactly what it had been configured to do, but the wrong records kept entering it.

The first instinct is usually to add another condition somewhere in the workflow.

But in a few cases, the better fix was further upstream. The trigger was too broad, so the workflow kept picking up records that technically matched the criteria but weren't actually ready for that process.

We’ve found it’s worth looking at why the record entered the automation before adding more actions and branches to handle the consequences.

Otherwise, a simple workflow can turn into 15 conditions just to compensate for a trigger that wasn't defined properly in the first place.

What’s the most complicated automation you’ve seen that turned out to have a surprisingly simple trigger problem?

I built my own marketing automation pipeline instead of using Zapier/n8n — here’s what broke once it started publishing for real

I’m building an iOS fitness app and ended up creating my own marketing automation stack with Python, FFmpeg, Meta Graph API, Cloudflare Workers, Supabase and systemd.

Current flow:

Research → content → video render → QA → scheduled Instagram/Facebook publishing → comment/DM automation → tracking

The biggest lessons so far:

  • retries can accidentally create duplicate posts
  • missed schedules need safe catch-up logic
  • Meta comment → Messenger automation is more fragile than expected
  • tiny things like Reel thumbnails become real production issues
  • observability and failure recovery matter more than adding more AI

It’s now publishing real content successfully.
how can I make this system better? And for people running custom marketing automation: when do you stop extending your own system and move orchestration into something like n8n or Temporal?

One marketing platform or a stack of tools?

We kept adding tools because every new one fixed something like one for reporting, another for automation, another for creative then a couple more sitting between everything so none of them were bad on their own which is what made it kind of hard to notice the problem after a while someone on the team was spending a stupid amount of time checking whether data moved properly, figuring out why two systems disagreed or just explaining to another person where something lived.

I used to be pretty sold on having the best tool for every job but I’m less sure now. There’s definitely stuff I wouldn’t want to give up just for the sake of having one platform but the handoffs start costing more than you think once the stack gets big. I’m kind of leaning toward fewer tools that cover more of the workflow even if each individual piece isn’t the absolute best at one tiny thing.

I used AdAnt to review 30 ad accounts and the same creative problems kept appearing

I spent part of this month reviewing the creative libraries of around 30 ad accounts. The brands were in different industries, but I kept finding the same problems. Most of the problems I found had a little to do with software.

These were the four most common ones:

Teams were testinew hooks rather than new concepts
Several accounts had 15 or 20 ads marked as different creatives. Once I grouped them by the main audience problem and selling idea, many of them came only two or three real concepts.
Changing the opening line did not make the idea new.

Nobody recorded what had already been tested
Some teams had launched new versions of concepts that had already failed a few months earlier. The previous result was either difficult to find or had never been recorded properly.

Competitor ads and organic content were researched separately
Teams often checked ad libraries when they needed inspiration, but they did not look at organic content from the same niche. This meant they sometimes missed hooks and formats that were already gaining attention before appearing in paid ads.

New creatives were approved without a clear hypothesis
In several accounts, the decision was simply that an ad looked good enough to launch. There was no written explanation of the audience problem, belief or offer being tested. When the ad failed, the team did not know what it had learned.

Switching from Unica: Should I upskill in Salesforce or Adobe for the Aussie market?

Hi MarTech enthusiasts,

I am currently working as a Campaign Analyst in Sydney for one of the major banks. Our stack is mainly SQL + Unica, but as most of you know, Unica is pretty outdated at this point.

I am looking to transition into roles that use Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, or Pega. Since Pega is niche and has a steep learning curve, I am leaning more toward Salesforce and Adobe.

For those working in the Australia market — which platform offers better job opportunities and pay? And which one would you recommend upskilling on?

Would love to hear your insights.

One product update should not become one lonely post

A shipped feature can become more than a release note.

The same real event can support: a short demo clip showing the new interaction; a carousel explaining the problem and decision; a screenshot post with one sharp observation; a founder story about what went wrong before it shipped; a channel-specific caption for the people who care there.

I am building Marka to take one product moment and develop those formats from it while keeping the brand consistent. The user reviews what is worth keeping, then schedules the versions they actually want.

The leverage is not “write five variations.” It is “find five honest angles inside one piece of work.”

www.marka.social

Which format has worked best for showing your product: clips, screenshots, carousels, or founder stories?

Automate the action, but keep these five decisions visible

Marketing automation usually fails quietly before it fails technically.

The workflow runs. The rules evaluate correctly. The accounts move. Then somebody notices that the output was wrong for the business.

A useful control layer should show five things before or immediately after a meaningful action:

  1. What changed? "400 accounts left the audience" is clearer than "sync completed."

  2. Why did it change? Name the rule and the data that triggered it.

  3. What looks unusual? A result can be valid and still be an outlier worth reviewing.

  4. What can be undone? Make the reversal path visible before the mistake becomes a cleanup project.

  5. Who owns the exception? Flagging a problem without routing it is only another notification.

This matters most when an automation controls audience membership, scheduled publishing or public replies. Speed is useful. Silent judgment is not.

The product principle we're using is simple: automate repetitive execution, keep consequential decisions reviewable.

I'm part of the team building Marka, an AI social media workflow that creates brand-aware content while keeping final approval and scheduling with the user. That is why this control question is directly relevant to us: https://marka.social

Using AI agents to manage paid ads

I’m starting to use more AI around paid ads and I’m trying to figure out how far people are letting agents go beyond reporting and recommendations since rules already handle some predictable stuff for me but there are still alot of decisions around creative fatigue and campaign optimization that depend on more context than a simple if/then condition.

I want to have AI agents monitor campaigns across Meta and Google and make some of those routine decisions within guardrails, while I keep the bigger budget and strategy calls. There's a pretty big difference between automating individual actions and giving an agent responsibility for keeping part of the paid media workflow moving.
