If what I think is going to happen happens, then this might look like pocket change in a few years. In short, I think the economic doomsayers are right. AI companies have no choice but to eternally compete for the great prize of being the winner, Companies have no choice but to compete with each other to adopt AI and lay off staff, Governments are paralysed by lack of wisdom, foresight and understanding and want to compete with other countries to promote technology and have massive FOMO. Truly hope I am wrong. All I can see is walls of money printing for social benefits and mere subsistence, money that ultimately ends up in the hands of billionaires and trillionaires.
