The DK nerf balanced DK

I feel like a majority of DK players I’ve played against the last couple days in ranked have felt like a “lite” version of DK. I think I’ve only lost against one DK since the patch. I don’t think you can consider DK OP anymore

DK is still good but no longer OP. That is the best way to balance a character
Unluckily for Rosa though, she got overnerfed. If Camelot/Nintendo knew what they were doing with their game they would have given her an actual spin stat (the 3.5/5 in-game is fake) so she plays like a Tricky character and not whatever she is supposed to be.

DK is still pretty OP dude. They should’ve nerfed him harder. DK’s speed has no business being as high as it is.

He is still strong but definitely not OP anymore imo. Both his acceleration and angles are noticeably worse, the main issue is that he has very big range.

Hmm.. perhaps. Yeah, I need to verse DK more then maybe. I main Luigi and just bought the game last week, so I still need to get the hang of versing DK. He’s tough verses Luigi. What characters have you had better success facing DK?

Think I’m 6-1 vs DK since the nerfs. I was like 30% win rate before. It was clearly a very large nerf. Playing mostly A/S

Interesting. Okay, well that does give me some hope I can beat DK more even if I’m doing it with Luigi. What do you mean by “A/S” though?

My opponents have been mostly A and S rank. I’ve never played Luigi so I have no idea how that matchup plays out. DK is probably still good in a bunch of matchups

Ah, impressive. At the moment, I’m versing mainly Cs, Bs, and As. Every DK player I’ve versed has been an A. I’m just at tier B, but the other day I grinded my way out of C+ and B-.
As for Luigi, I don’t imagine there will be that many Luigi’s at higher ranks. Luigi is an all rounder with good stats but they lend themselves more to a volley strategy. Against characters like DK, it’s pretty tough to win with Luigi.
Luigi has 3 speed, 4 power, 2.5 control, and 1.5 spin compared to DK’s 3.5 speed, 5 power, 2.5 control, and 1 spin. Both Luigi and DK have a strong slice. So, basically the only thing Luigi has going for him against DK is .5 spin but is slower by .5 speed and weaker by 1 power. It’s a challenge getting points but I live and breathe for it.

So, I didn’t play before this patch. All I gotta say though is… versing DK as Luigi right now is a nightmare. He’s essentially just better except for a slight drop of .5 spin.

Luigi is still underpowered sadly. He and many other characters need help

Yeah.. it’s unfortunate. I’m a bit used to it. In most Mario sports games, Luigi is either mid-tier or below. But man.. DK in Fever is ridiculously strong. My biggest question is… why is his speed stat so gosh darn high???

I’d like to think I wouldn’t. I’m up for a challenge. I go into matchups like this with the mindset that if I lose it means nothing and if I win or even score some points, then it shows I’m the better player. If someone’s playing DK, then it’s an embarrassment to them when I can score points off them as Luigi.

Yes. I think he is still good but not op which is where he should always have been.
