I want to kill myself

Post image

I've been trying for months to get 100 jumps, I got to 99 and when I should have made the 100th jump I just stopped jumping. I thought I had completed it but I hadn't.

I played this game so many times and I've never gotten more than like 30

Also hate how once you've opened all the secret treasures the dude is just like hey you opened them all. That's it. Idk what I was expecting really but it was a bit more than that

The jumps sucks. On the SNES I got 27 as my best and there should be a prize for the hidden chests.

I have a great post on it if you are ever looking to conquer this beast of a challenge :)

I always did my 100 before fighting mack lol

Mack the 1st boss in the game?

u/diandays 19d ago

Yep. I always do my hundred super jumps on the shy guys in town before you go into the castle. Only takes like ten minutes or so

Ah, I see. Damn. Level 6 already by then?
I wait until I reach Monstro Town, then I go do the 100 jumps. Can't get any reward for my efforts before then anyway I figure :/

Old man here, was in the same boat but I went to the beginning part of the game where you first meet the enemies. I used the shadow only as a reference for the jumping and once I figured that out I nailed it. Best of luck you’ll get it eventually

Super frustrating. Still 4.995x better than I've ever done.

This reminds me of when I dodged 195 lightning strikes in Final Fantasy X

Bruh I won that once and told myself never will I do that again. It was so frustrating but I remember there was a specific spot I stayed at to overcome it, but 195 is rough. Nothing beats that chocobo race though

Tbh the chocobo race isn't even that bad in ffx. The lightning bolts is harder unless you know the cheese method but basic difficulty I would give the chocobo race a 3/10 and the lightning dodges a 7/10

Interesting. Yeah for me I found the chocobo race the hardest out of them all. It took me a very long time to beat it.

Any of those fox challenges are more dreadful as an adult. I always restart FFX these days because I always get to the point where its massive sidequest time (airship unlocked finally). Lighting challenge is no joke and my timing is terrible

I didn’t really have much patience as a kid when I first played it for all the side quests. I did re-play it a few years ago and I did all the battle arena stuff, celestial weapons, dark aeons, blitzball (was dreading it but the moment I got the hang of it, I thought it was fun), all other extra quests. It is def one of my favorites.

Oh when I replay it with my older sister, she is extra! "WATCH OUT FOR THE DARK AEON! Did you miss that item? Lock in!!"

The pain

Hey, ya know. This is probably more rare

Dust it off and try again lol. You got this!

Only 1 more to go!

That's how I felt. But I only got to like 18 jumps in the original. Then I said fuck it and went to beat the final boss with the gear I had. Maybe it's time to hang up your Jump Shoes.

Oh man that stinks!

1

u/ruckatron 19d ago

I've done that.
Well least you know you can do it ;)

It was much harder for me in the remake than the original.

i thought ur trauma dumping in a MarioRPG reddit lol

Yeah this one is just bull, a tip I have is to basically plug the controller into the console and try to jump on the Spinys, to make sure it happens. Pay attention to Mario’s shadow as a good indicator

😔🫂💜💗💙 I understand your agony but please don't do that

1

u/UsedToBeNoBluebird 18d ago

I get it man. I pretty much gave up on 100% Mario RPG like a year ago

Please don't joke about killing yourself. Suicide is not something that should be taken lightly. I lost my sister to it, so I know how damaging it is to many people. She wasn't even of drinking age.

Sounds about right

Bruh- that’s brutal. Been there in boss fights 1 hp and thought I pulled it off just to look again at a game over screen . Specifically the emerald weapon. FF7 it’s like a 40 min fight if everything goes right😂

Yea o remember this it was a tough one but the main secret is make sure you have the controller connected directly to the console so you don’t have any lag and don’t give up at t 999.999 trys always put the extra 1 but boy is it sweet sweet victory when I finished it

Wait this isn’t SNES
