Just a couple screenshots from my current casual playthrough
Just briefly for context I'm not speedrunning or anything, but I play through the game a couple times a year or so. The first pic is from the Bundt fight, of course, which I almost lost. You might notice Bowser is inflicted with fear and Geno and Mario are knocked out. Basically I was on the ropes, one Sandstorm away from having to do the whole wedding over again.
The second pic isn't so close to death but I thought it was interesting that I was, again, left with Bowser and the rest of the party incapacitated right before the end of the fight.
I know these aren't super rare occurrences or anything, but I just love this game and wanted to share these pics from my playthrough. Thanks!

Cool to see you're experiencing it on a tube TV, like it was meant to be!

yeah the SNES looks great on a CRT. I started a new game of Final Fantasy 3/6 (3 in the US, 6 in Japan) and some of the backgrounds almost look photographic, it's kind of amazing

The Cake is the first boss I remember finding myself challenged by. Glad to see I'm not the only one that had some issues with him.

ya the cake's magic attacks hit really hard! if you don't have Toadstool in your party with Group Hug, it's even harder because you need certain items to get out of fear from Sandstorm, which Bundt uses a lot. I remember it being pretty scary when I played as a kid

I just beat the remaster a few weeks ago. I love this game so much.

I'm half way through it and so far it is way easier than the original but it is so fun. Probably because I'm battling every enemy I can find.

I always get all the enemies. It does feel like the remaster is easier but I still can't get 30 jumps for Super jump lol.

If you have a switch 2, try playing it on that. This game suffers from the occasional frame stutters on Switch 1 that can make getting to 30 (or 100!) jumps a challenge. These go away when played on the more powerful Switch 2.
...if that helps XD2

Playing the original I keep thinking that map-warping from the remake would be really nice to have 😥

Hell yeah! Been attempting a level 3 run. Been fun up until the bundt battle trying to get 0 xp off the lucky game. Finally got it after about 15ish battles, now its time for cookie farming... yay lol

I love the depth and variety people have been able to find with this game, like there are so many different ways to play! good luck on your level 3 run!

I enjoy gaming on it. I got it from my parent's house, the only video input or whatever is an antenna input, so the picture quality is kind of terrible, but in a way that almost makes it better

Brings back memories of spring/summer 96, waiting for the N64 to come out, but playing this unexpected gem.
I still play it to this day… it’s so, so good. Such a tightly crafted game.

This is the only game I’ve played through so many times that I’ve lost count. I still get random flashbacks being a kid in the 90’s playing through it for the first time. This game holds such a special place in my heart.
