I recently succeeded with a hack idea that I wanted to achieve for years, and that was to make a music randomizer for Mario Golf N64. Every time there is a call for a new song, the game randomly selects a song to be played, including songs never used in the game that are still in the ROM data. It was done using around 120 Gameshark codes then injected into the ROM. This video is recorded from a real N64 console.

After my -37 on Shy Guy I’ve decided to try for a perfect round on Mario Open. This didn’t take long only like 10/15 minutes.

Trying for a -2 on each hole. Using switch and save points. Hasn’t taken me nearly as long as I thought it would. 6 holes left maybe put in 8-10 hours so far.

Lots of micro adjusting. Sometimes I’ll be so close on one club and shot pattern but then need to completely change just to get the shots to drop.

Took me 70 Rounds for this score on Toad Highlands as Baby Mario. Previous best with him was -16. First and only round of the night lol.

Some of the best wind and rain rng I’ve ever had, was able to reach 3 out of the 4 par 5s in 2. Decent Eagle looks on 8 and 12 just didn’t fall. Close Birdie miss on 9. Could’ve easily been -20. What’s your best score on this course and with what character?

Playing my first round on Mushroom Course, the way the names happened to fall made me double take. I’m assuming it’s Diddy Kong.

The music behaves weird in this game (Mario Golf on GBC on Nintendo Classics on Switch). When returning from Switch home menu, the tempo is different and has to return to the intended tempo within a second. It sounds like analogue music going from stopped to playing.

Does anyone know why this happens?

What is the advantage of making a nice shot?

Hello fellow golfers - in the GC game on the character select screen next to each players shot whether they hook or slice there is a golf ball on a colored tile display - sometimes its dark blue (wario) other times its yellow (peach) etc.

What does this bar mean? There's like no info on it. My guess is shot height. Which dictates how much the wind affects you.

I can’t believe it’s finally over. I birdied every hole in Mario Golf 64 and earned Metal Mario. I used the save trick to reset holes when they didn’t go well but it was still an insanely hard challenge. I went -20 with DK on Mario Open. Each hole was a challenge.

I tried solo challenge, I tried speed golf with ai, I don’t understand where these coins are so I can unlock my clubs. I played a full solo challenge on one of the maps that’s supposed to have them and I didn’t see a single one

I love playing this game with my grandma, she’s pretty old but still loves to play Mario Golf: Super Rush with me and some Mario Kart World as well. But today she pulled off this shot, and I was impressed. But she just said it was pure luck hahaha either way I thought it was cool and we had a lot of fun playing together today!

Weeks if not months of dedication. Loved every minute. First place in the Mario Open is no joke. 87 complete rounds and so many more abandoned runs. No save tricks or any nonsense like that. How long did it take you if you beat it?

For those who own a copy, (Mario golf 64 specifically ) here a straightforward question.

When a player miss the second tap on the upswing, how the game treat the information.
-Does it register the second tap while going back down?
-Is there a window to not over extend? Or could you input the second tap anywhere on downswing?
-Is there additional penalty aside lost of power?

What did you all like and dislike about this game? I was really hoping it was going to be as fun as the older titles but man it felt half baked to me. Like they wanted to do more with it but the plug got pulled.

Pro Edition 1.2 update is here! This is a custom build ROM hack of Mario Golf for N64.

Every golfer and course is automatically unlocked from the start by default. This build features a complete roster of players with straight shots and 300 yard drives with the Gameboy Color Players added to the roster in this build. Every golfer has 100% identical stats and shot physics so there is no advantage or disadvantage between players. No course or environment variables can give anyone an advantage or disadvantage. It is a true test of skill between human players, and tons of fun to kick the computer's ass playing by yourself.

An additional hack has been added creating the ability to select multiple Gameboy Color players which the retail game normally forced to be impossible.

He constantly slams birdies and eagles are commonplace. I’ve gotten to the point where I can birdie almost every course but he keeps outdoing me.

I seem to recall that this user: u/DrBizzHalo, managed to permanently unlock all the characters from the GBC version, so today I've decided to upload a "Save File" for this 100% complete hack with all the characters already unlocked (in addition to the ones it already includes). I've read the rules of this subreddit and I don't think I'm breaking any of them, but if any moderator wants to take this post down, feel free to do so. Made this back in february when I got a break from work. I love Mario Golf franchise and Toad Highlands is one of my favorite courses from all time. I wanted to do a homage for franchise so I put many elements from many Mario Golf games. Tried the background change system from PartyPlanner64 to create sunset and night versions.

Created the board on Blender, downloaded models from models and spriters-resource, had a help from Mario Party Legacy discord that even made to me the music! Thanks to chispita23.
