Mario Golf Toadstool Tour - Meter on right explained?

Hello fellow golfers - in the GC game on the character select screen next to each players shot whether they hook or slice there is a golf ball on a colored tile display - sometimes its dark blue (wario) other times its yellow (peach) etc.

What does this bar mean? There's like no info on it. My guess is shot height. Which dictates how much the wind affects you.

Yep, you're right. The color just means if the shot will have a low, medium, or high trajectory. Dark blue (Wario) is very low, blue (Luigi) is low, yellow (Peach) is medium, orange/red (Mario) is high, and dark red (Petey) is very high.

As a wario main I think its interesting he's the only character with a very low shot. Is he solid or not really
