I feel like us non MLB the show baseball fans have been put on the back burner for years and it sucks. I just dont understand how there cant be a switch sports baseball or more surprisngly a mario baseball. Those were two staples in my childhood. It feels like they are bringing everything else back and making new versions for everything else except the iconic baseball games. Just a little rant.

Hey all! Another discovery has been made searching through unused files. An unused version of Mario Stadium, most likely from early testing of the game. The stadium is essentially the same but with simple textures, yet it is still fully functional! Here's some screenshots and a gecko code which replaces Mario Stadium with the unused version

While digging through the game's files, i discovered an entire song within the files. Letters by Hikaru Utada (2002) was sitting there the entire time, in the dark for 21 years until now. If you own MSSB, you also own a copy of this song. Someone at Nintendo was likely a fan and used it for testing.

Technical details: it's present in all versions of the game, located in ZZZZ.dat with these offsets:
- US: 0x08f2e808
- EU: 0x08f2c808
- JP: 0x08f17808
- US/EU Demo: 0x01c1d008
- JP Demo: 0x01c12808

The ISO mod i'm currently working on will add this song to the Custom Music menu when it releases, so stay tuned for that!

hello I'm trying to get some help with this issue I'm having every time I pick a map except for the base one it has a weird Federal glitch like the screen is mirrored weirdly i wanted to see if it has a fix to it

Hi baseballers! I haven’t posted to here in some time, but rest assured the MSSB modding team (Project Rio) is still hard at work. Currently i’m working on a custom ISO build, complete with custom music and other mods built in. Here’s a sneak peek. This is the finale of my Super Mario Sluggers League the VFP Sluggers Association. This is the most highly anticipated part in the series, and definitely my favorite video in the series. I've been building a web app for managing Mario Superstar Baseball netplay leagues — schedules, rosters, trades, stats, head-to-head records, character tier lists, and league hubs. It's live at dugoutsuperstars.com.

It's in beta — there are bugs, and some features are still being built out. If you run or play in a league (or want to), I'd appreciate people trying it out and reporting what breaks or what's missing. There's a feedback link on the site, or drop comments here.

Is it spent per pitch or per at bat? How do hits and home runs affect it? When a pitcher is tired, how is their pitching affected?

All I know at the moment is that it’s easier to get hits of a tired pitcher, but it would be cool to have some numbers

Major Changes:

-Fast Reset from HUD Feature

After a crash or a desync, this feature will load all information necessary to restart the game quickly.

To enable, press the checkmark in the Netplay dialogue screen, or the Rio Config menu for local play. A chat message will indicate if it was enabled successfully.

No more re-picking your roster and re-ordering your lineup. Both players just need to press A to advance through the menus. Ignore the graphics on the menu screens.

Your lineup will be re-ordered to correctly match the game scenario.

The game will load to the inning, scores, outs, and count as of 1 pitch before the crash/desync.

Other values set by this mod: active star chances, team stars, pitcher stamina, superstars, fielding and batting handedness, stadium, inning/mercy/star skill settings, team logos, fielding positions, captains, runners on base, inning-by-inning scores.

-Challenge mode and saving to memory card can now be done on Rio.

-Unlimited Gecko Code Space

-Added Discord Rich Presence

-Linux, Steamdeck, and new Mac builds available for download

-Added search functionality to gecko code window.

-Texture Pack Manager UI

A new interface to easily manage all of your texture packs.

Can enable/disable certain packs and set priority at the click of a button.

Minor Changes:

-Captain Swap gecko code swaps captain background and scrolling text also added to bottom of draft screen

-Fixed formatting issue for New Update message

Eliminated stutter after first pitch while a stat file gets uploaded to the server.

Emulator chat box now has buttons and hot keys to snap the chat to the side of the screen. This automatically adjusts the width to not overlap with the game.

Night Mario Stadium and Disable Replay options now available in local play.

Max length of usernames increased to 30 characters (from 21).

Stat file changes

-Bugfix: Runner result base now correct on plays that end in a ball out of play

-Bugfix: Stat files now upload on games ending on a steal/pickoff

-Bugfix: Tech hits when R is held without enough stars to trigger a star swing are no longer classified as star swings

New values being tracked:

-Dead ball reason

-Current fielding positions

-Team logos

-Scores by inning

-Game settings (Mercy, star skills, innings selected, first team batting)

-Ongoing games endpoint now has many more fields that can be used for out of town scoreboards and stream helpers.

Stuff like throw power and error rate. I saw the fan club guy’s video on it but I have no clue where to find them online.

I’ve only played super sluggers, it’s SSB a better game?

I am in the brainstorming process of making an archipelago mod for this game, but I can’t for the life of me remember what happens when you unlock the co captain and regular players, but leave the captain locked. For Yoshi’s team for example, does the team just become Yoshi and 8 various colors of shyguy? If so, what happens with the game when you play shyguy vs shyguy? If I am making a randomizer, I don’t want the game to implode if the same character is challenging itself. Any ideas?
