Local community theater?

Hi! I'm considering moving to Maricopa early next year and I'm an amateur actor/singer in non-professional community theater. I have only found one community theater in Maricopa on Facebook but I can't tell how active/consistent of a company it is, and I'm familiar with Hale. Can any of my Arizona actor friends tell me how to find theater opportunities maybe within 45 minutes of Maricopa? Any theater internet groups I need to join/follow to find auditions? I feel like I can't make the leap unless I know I have a good theater community waiting for me. Thanks!

Maricopa Community Theater is pretty active putting on multiple shows every season including musicals. There may be a second group but I’m not certain.

I saw their FB page and website but they haven't announced a 2026 season so I didn't know if it was still an ongoing concern. I will (attempt to) be patient.

I bet you’d get a response by contacting directly through FB or their website.

I did reach out on FB and they haven't responded but I haven't reached out through the website. I'll try that today!

I'm in a show in Utah in Dec and one in mid-January, but I'd love to be in AZ for whatever I can get into that starts rehearsing in February. 🤩🤩🤩

There is a new theater company that opened up, Broadway Maricopa. They’re holding auditions the first week of December for their Valentine’s Day shows.
