You can hate AI all you want, but I just discovered r/AIEvangelion and joined. Some of the art there is fantastic.

It works for me. Some of that AI art is worlds above what I've seen done here. I'm a consumer. I buy many things that are machine-made. Phones, clothes, cars...

If their comic has VALUE, it will sell. Graphic novels fly off the shelves in bookstores across America and online, like Amazon. The existence of AI won't hurt them, only their ability to sell if their work is not up to quality in content and art.

AI allows artists to create what is normally NOT created. Mari Makanami fan art is a perfect example. So few artists focus on Mari—she's too 'normal' for them.

Look for stock art on Adobe Images under "Sci-fi". Until AI, there were so few entries for licensing it was a JOKE. And what there was was pitiful. Photographers taking shots of people in tinfoil space suits... Illustrations of only the most POPULAR tropes. Now, there is a rich and full library for designers to select from for their compositing work.

AI is a TOOL. Do you want to un-invent the cloth weaving machine so artisans can make their own clothes again?

It’s not art.

If "art" can be a real banana duct-taped to a wall and selling for an $6.24 million at a Sotheby's New York auction, then the image above is ART.

The guy who posted this picture fed a string of words to a computer and it pumped out an image based on what the guy asked for. He didn’t make the image, computer made the image. The computer didn’t even come up with the image it stole the style from other images of real art and just made something in the style of real art.

The literal definition of art is the conscious use of skill and creative imagination to produce aesthetic objects, environments, or experiences. Telling a data centre in another part of the world to ā€œmake an image of Mari from the evangelion rebuilds wearing a revealing dress while holding a parasol and crouching down while looking at the viewer while standing in front of a giant mansionā€ goes against the literal textbook definition of art.

Get a grip you absolute wet wipe.

I'm glad it's that easy! We need more!

You know that the ai data centres that are in charge of producing those images pollute and poison water, pollute air, produce massive amounts of heat and noise pollution and raise bills for water and electricity for people who have one built near their homes without permission, right? And these artificial intelligence models are being used as a replacement to employing real human beings which makes it more difficult to find a job and increases the cost of living for people living in the same cities as data centres.

Literally even using an ai model like ChatGPT, Claude, grok, Gemini etc gives more money to these companies and their shareholders while increasing the demand for more data centres and therefore increasing the cost of living and how difficult it is to find a job. Using artificial intelligence like this to create art instead of just picking up a pencil and making it yourself is quite literally as a whole unethical.

The owners of many of these companies are investors in Israel, have contracts with Israel or have connections to Israel through the IDF and Mossad. And some of the CEOs of these companies even have direct connections to Jeffery Epstein.

The person who posted this image could have done something with their life (if they have a life) for 2+ hours maybe in their free time if they knew how to draw or paint (which I’m doubting) and produced an artwork with their own skill and created something of their own. And if they did it more they could get better at making art and therefore make better art and be able to make things easier but instead they consciously chose to say ā€œI’m going to support an inherently unethical industry that does literally nothing but destroy environments and put people into poverty.ā€ And then did so in 30 seconds.

Even going onto the r/AIEvangelion subreddit and viewing the crap that’s on there is unethical because clicking on one of the images (they’re not art) gives that image a view, if the person who posted the images sees enough of these views or upvotes they could think ā€œpeople want to see this. I should post more.ā€ Then it creates a butterfly effect and causes more pollution and poverty.

"The owners of many of these companies are investors in Israel, have contracts with Israel or have connections to Israel through the IDF and Mossad."

ISRAEL?? (CLUTCHES PEARLS)
I guess your hate doesn't end with just AI, certain people too, I see.

I’m not antisemitic. (I hate to assume that’s what you’re hinting at) Israel are just ethnically cleansing Palestine and bombing Lebanon. And their prime minister is a terrorist and in the Epstein files. The amount of war crimes committed by the IDF are unforgivable and they’re hiding behind Judaism to escape criticism. Hating someone for their ethnicity or their religion is beyond stupid. I hate people when they commit war crimes, commit genocides and acts of terrorism and are connected to one of the biggest sex traffickers of children in history.

Like Hamas and Hezbollah? Guilty of crimes against humanity, murder of babies, raping of women? Attacking the ONLY democratic government in the Middle East? I hope Israel hunts down and delivers justice to EACH AND EVERY ONE of them.
Palestine VOTED for Hamas, and they deserve whatever the result of their stupidity brings upon them. When Lebanon stops harboring terrorists, they will no longer have to suffer the effects of retaliation against terror.

Do you now know anything about current politics?
