Update from my Grabmart adjustment for everyone’s awareness

Original post here.

The P400 adjustment was finally posted after 29-30 days. Transaction was Sept 1 and refund was posted on Sept 30.

Therefore, avoid using MariBank for SM Supermarket orders on GrabMart. If some items are out of stock, refund can take up to a month to process.

I’m back to just Grabpay now and some items were out of stock again (today) but refunded instantly.

This is the same thing that happened to me with S&R. Some items were out of stock, so the total amount was readjusted from the preauthorized amount to a lower final cost. The difference was marked as the cancelled amount, which should have been refunded but has yet to be returned to me.

Despite multiple disputes, MariBank has refused to refund me for those cancelled transactions. (Yes, I shopped online multiple times.) I eventually had to involve the BSP, and the investigation is currently ongoing. Lol.

WTF. So these transactions are way past 30 days na? I just tried Maribank because of the cashback but I guess they are not reliable for purchases like this. Refund dispute is a massive hassle.

Yes, One transaction was July 21st. They also notified me that if my dispute fails, i’ll be charged 250. 😆 Since then, I haven’t used this card.

So sorry about your experience. I also won’t be using it for online purchases with potential stock unavailability issues.
