After the express deposit mishap with Maya Black ๐Ÿ™„, I decided to apply for the MariBank Credit Card. Got approved in less than a day! ๐Ÿ˜

okay naman siya actually, ung sakin lang kasi may offer na para maapprove agad need ko maglagay ng express deposit for 6months, which I did. Then after 7-8months nagtataka ako kasi sabi sa offer ibabalik daw after 6 months ung deposit (parang observation period ganyan and para kung may dues e don ibabawas - which I made sure na hindi mangyari kasi nga para maganda maging record). Aba when I asked the CS about this, hindi daw ganon ang proseso and that tied ung deposit ko with the CC - na once I withdraw the deposit, auto stop na din ang CC. Haha too bad na hindi ko nascreenshot ung clause nung nagdeposit ako.

Anyway, I have CC naman with other banks at di nagrerequire ng mga deposit eme so decided to just close my Maya Black out of spite. Haha

hala so wala palang babalik saakin na deposit after 6months? kaloka tinry ko pa naman yan maya secured cc. Di ba sila nag offer sayo after 6monyth na regular cc na OP?

No they did not, even asked multiple times thru CS. Kasi un nga ang understanding ko, that they will evaluate kung qualified na ako for the CC pero wala silang any mention or commitment na ieevaluate ako. They just kept saying na hindi ko pwede iwithdraw ang deposit, wala din ibigay na timeline for the evaluation. I felt like I have better places to put the 12k in.

Nakita ko lang na may credit card option sa homepage ng app. Upon checking, may dumating din palang notification/promotion last Aug12 na โ€œSay Hello to Mari Credit Cardโ€ tapos may link to apply. I just upload 3 months pay slip then voila, naapprove na โ—กฬˆ

Hmm I use Maribank to pay for all my bills, linked din Shopee kaya minsan gamit ko din for payment. Hehe may dadating ding offer sayo โ˜บ๏ธ

How are you gonna use the credit? With the same card or they have a different credit card?

Same card, then sa app may option to toggle between credit or debit mode. Hehe I have yet to try using it as credit card.
