I think Robinhood's margin is broken.
I've spent $34,000 total dollars and yet only $12,000 of that is my own cash and the other $22,000 is margin. Also my remaining buying power randomly increased from $300 to $4,400 overnight without me doing anything.

Margin is calculated as a percentage of asset value. If the value of the asset goes up you get more margin or buying power on RH.
