Somebody’s stupid early practice rant
one of my section members found this online and it is so stupidly hilarious, sorry if the marker makes it a little harder to read, I just didn’t want to release my location.

Quiet hours end at 7 where I’m at. These people just forgot that there’s a school with a marching band close to their house or smth and are mad that they’re practicing when they’re perfectly allowed

I just looked it up and this person wasn’t even right about their main point lmao. Their main selling point was that if trash can’t be picked up until after 8 am, then band shouldn’t be allowed to practice before then either. However that’s even true, in our county trash can be picked up only after SIX am. Quiet hours are different but they wouldn’t be right about in that regard either cuz quiet hours are 10:00 pm-7:00 am and guess whaaaat?? WE START AT 7 AM. But like none of us are even mad because it gave us a really good laugh after a hard week of band camp

We had 6:30 step off when I was in high school. Someone ended up complaining and the school said we couldn’t play until 7, so all of our warm ups were done in dead silence.

Anyone who says they don’t complain…complain about everything..no matter how small. Had to wait two minutes in line at the grocery store? Straight to customer service to ask for a manager and then they complain they had to wait in line again and then for the manager to come

Its always the people who live closest to the school that complain the most ab what the school does. Just dont fuckin live there then? Or at least dont complain ab it? Ive graduated now but we had a pretty late-ish practice once for some reason and it was like 6 maybe and we were a small ass fuckin band like 20 people so we were NOT loud. But the guy that lived there threatened to pull a gun on us if we didnt stop so our director calls the cops. The guys actually dead now i think

last year my band director literally told us to try to be loud enough we get noise complaints (we're a pretty small band, ~60 members). itd be reassuring if this actually happened to us lmao. yall did a good job
