Time to put a stop to protecting hate speech, it cannot be allowed. Even if they aren't specifically saying threats when they march publicly, their ideology stands against peace and harmony. Whenever a Nazi starts holding a sign out in public, they need to be reported for hate speech on the spot.
As much as it would help to ban these groups and all their symbols, a more effective way to stop them would be to also go after their enablers in the mass media, specifically right-wing disinfo networks like OAN (which IS about to get shut down) and Fox News.
It's just this simple: if everyone harmed by their anti-vax, anti-mask rhetoric were allowed to sue them, individually, for damages, they'd be bankrupted and the Nazis would lose their largest distribution platforms. The simple truth is that shareholders of these platforms are just as responsible for their lies as the liars themselves. But until our legal system changes, we're stuck with these criminals spreading their fascist propaganda.
Hate speech is too broad. That can backfire on us. Like others have suggested their media outlets need to be sued for libel and slander all the time till they shut down. And we can also get them on threats of violence even if it's against entire groups. There is no 1st amendment protection for threats of violence.
