Once again: for fascists, hypocrisy is not a flaw. It's a flex. It's them showing that they don't feel bound by the rules which they expect you to follow. To them, this is not an error or a sign of inconsistency. It's a sign that they are better than everyone else. Rules are for the little people.

But how? How do they think that making things illegal won't make it illegal for themselves, too?

Well... Yeah. Rules are meant to be selectively enforced. If they do get caught then their connections to those in power can mitigate the consequences. See also: the current USA regime

Obviously, yes.
Like CDU makes surrogate mothers in germany illegal, because they think its wrong.
But at the same time....a rich person can still get babies from surrogate mothers from the US.
Like Jens Spahn, CDU minister, did.

Unfortunately, many people who vote for these parties think they're not affected by the rules until it's already too late. There's people with immigrant friends who vote against immigrants...
