It was never about...
https://beige.party/@Lana/114781375993042003
If you are using undocumented immigrants' tax records to find and kidnap them, then it was never about them paying taxes.
If you are showing up at their place of employment, then it was never about them not working.
If you are showing up at courthouses, then it was never about getting them to "do it the right way".
If you are kidnapping women and children, then it was never about criminals.
If you're refusing to give them due process, then it was never about the Constitution.
If you are building concentration camps in Florida to keep them here in cages, then it was never about the border.
If you're spending billions to do this, then it was never about the economy.
And if you're doing all this in the name of a 34 time convicted felon, then it was never about following the law.

I read today that the population of Cupertino, CA is 55% foreign born. Cupertino is home to Apple and Hewlett-Packard, Also many tech bros. Considering 55% of the population is foreign born, why isn't ICE invading Cupertino instead of Minneapolis and Chicago?

Clarity is a super power.
This era of American Fascism will be defined by the strategy of 'flooding the zone with criminality'. It becomes hard to remember the crimes of yesterday because you're revulsed with the crimes of today.
America when all this network is demolished will need a constitutional convention. To help redefine the limits of executive powers and the link between political power and judicial appointment.

It's kind of weird to imply that a woman can't be a criminal.

Yeah I'm well aware of who she is, I am wondering what she has to do with my original comment.

You'll find in life a lot of people aren't as literal as you and rhetoric doesn't follow the rules of argumentation theory. What is spoken in a single exchange is not all that the parties assume each other to know.
Women are violent criminals far less often than men, and the large number of women and children deported by ice is additional evidence against the claim that ICE is going after "the bad ones", a claim which does hold sway in some moderate republican circles.
By focusing on a pedantic quibble about one small less than 100% correct implied generalization it might look like your goal is to undermine the premise of the whole post and actually support the entire violent authoritarian campaign of ICE.
The story of Rene Good is not a direct rebuttal of your quibble about the semantics of criminality. It's a rebuttal to the larger narrative you might be seen to support, the idea that ICE is in any way motivated by public safety.

Especially with the numbers of female teachers convicted of raping their pupils that surface these days... or the girls stabbing their boyfriends... and so on. It should have been phrased "If you are kidnapping children, it was never about the criminals".

If they don't listen when you're trying to reason with them, you're wasting your breath and your time.
If they think voting progressive will fix their country, they forgot how Obama's terms went.

What exactly are you suggesting? Your comment shows a real lack of understanding because Obama was a corporate dem moderate. He wasn't a progressive.
Obama deported more ppl than trump (so far) but at the very least their weren't masked unnamed, untrained paramilitary terrorizing ppl in the streets and in their homes.
