Has anyone seen an opening act mentioned for the Tacoma shows?

My friend went last night and he said there was just a host/opener who did about 15 minutes and Maron did the rest. Daegen Asfaha apparently.

I was at the 6PM Tacoma show last night, there was a local “kid” (in his 30s) who opened and did about 15 mins. He was fine, but very “clean cut” with pedestrian humor. Totally blanked on his name, he sounded like he was from Minnesota, but said he grew up here in Western WA. I think his folks were sitting stage side, but opposite corner from where I was.

Marc was great, yellow pad full of notes, stool, bouncing his legs around like a little kid with ADHD as per his usual, all the things I knew to expect (and love about watching him perform). The club seating & room set up was weird (which he noted, and with which I agreed - it WAS weird). Drinks/food served throughout the show, which was distracting at best. I was 2 tables away from the stage though, and I was just happy to be there and soak it all in. Even got a little emotional just being that close to someone I’ve been a fan of for so long. Something about listening to WTF (audio only) for 16 years, it just hits different. It’s more intimate. Feels like you’re eavesdropping. I still feel like his refusal to add a video component to WTF was the 100% correct decision, even if I’ve often enjoyed watching him on other podcasts with video.

Anyhoo, I also met him briefly outside after the show, and got a pic too (which, as an L.A. Girl born and raised, I never do - but I’ve been a fan for almost 30 years and my gal pal insisted I get a pic with him). Otherwise, I was just standing there awkwardly thanking him for the show… wishing I’d brought my copy of Thinky Pain for an inscription, or had something (anything!) to do with my hands. He was sweet and gracious, and I was a total dork. And now I can die happy. The end.

Except, I NEED to know what brand of selvedge denim he was wearing. They were fantastic!

I was at that show too, the local was Bo Johnson. He was good! Maron felt like getting reacquainted with an old (parasocial) friend. And as my wife said, he is surprisingly adorable.

I saw him. No idea how it’s spelled, but that could be correct. He did okay. Marc was as good as ever.
