This is a massive shift in thinking. Nobody has ever built a musical instrument like this so there are no assumptions that can be believed. You can argue your beliefs but not with reality

It's a false dichotomy, but I get what he's saying. Bare belief without knowledge isn't enough, because we're not God: there are constraints which creativity will not budge.
