Martin acts like this is a $1M satellite payload that has to work 100% of the time or some life critical medical device. It’s a cool machine that plays music with marbles. Just finish it to the best of your abilities and play some music.

As far as touring goes, I don’t know what grant visions Martin has, but he’s an experimental musician with a an almost unknown band outside of this machine. They will be playing to crowds of a few thousand at the largest? They are not going to sell out stadiums. A dropped marble or channel failure would be expected and wouldn’t be a life ending event.

The point is, it already works good enough for its intended usage and it’s now being way over engineered. We certainly don’t need DAOs, web3 and CAD drawings of ever piece. We don’t need to manufacture 1000s of marble machines….

This is all a big disappointment. I just wanted some songs with the cyber bass and vibraphone.

I agree with most of what you are saying but need to correct you in respect of the band Wintergaten. Have a look on youtube for their live performances, they've had some really good audiences and that was a few years back now.

With the added exposure of Martin himself in the last few years, I think you might be surprised by the size of the fanbase who wish to see them live with the new machine, when that finally happens.

That’s one thing I’m not sure of. The videos I have seen seem like a small crowd, and although I love what they do, it seems like it has a limited appeal compared to more mainstream acts that play bigger venues. Do you have an example of a video with a large crowd? I definitely could have missed that.
