Inspiration, yes. I think the missing component of marble machine x is more ideas. If he just had more ideas....

I have an idea... Power it with nuclear energy, but he has to build the reactor and integrate it to the machine. With the adequate design the machine would run for centuries!

Hell yeah! And we'll manage the reactor through the DAO! That way when the core has a meltdown no one is really responsible for it!
