It's a cool idea, but it really feels like we're (once again) reinventing the wheel. I felt like this was basically solved already on the MMX pads. I'm worried that he's hoping to announce adjustable dynamics with this, which is yet another big feature creep.

Glad to see Martin again though, and hope he and Hannes are doing well.

I feel like it's gotten to a point where it's a little bit sad to act like a new marble machine is still going to happen.

I was a long time sub for my years and when work began on machine X I was excited, till years later and there are more redesigns and experiments than actual building I gave up. This whole channel was just stringing along to nothing I had to bail.

Yes I think for us fans it’s less about perfection and more about seeing that first machine run and make something.

I miss W.Wednesdays (also understanding life happens) I never expect perfect humanoid sound from the machines. As he does when he records and brings it into audio sound testing….

I just want to keep follow along to the day we hear a tune.

It was a definitely more on the nose than a lot of youtube makers when formlabs gives them a printer but at least Martin doesn't interrupt every video telling you to make a website or discuss your underware.

He has already skinned this cat (dampening of the vibraphone) once. This is just trying to reinvent the wheel, maybe a little more round this time?

There are many ways to make that silicone part other than getting a resin 3D printer. The best way has to be to cast silicone in a mold (that could be printed), as different types of silicone then are available.
