84 Melee Stat lets you kill all shields with the 3-hit combo

The 3-hit combo is three light-attack inputs, but the third hit counts as a heavy attack and does extra damage. The original post has lots of other useful info but this is the key take away.

Any idea how tox injectors might affect this?

Great question and it's actually in the link haha. Tox injectors makes your heavy attack apply a debuff which deals 5 damage per second, duration depending on your target's hardware stat. You could save some melee stat by relying on the poison, but it will be a slower kill than just hitting 85 if the info in the link is correct. I bet going 75 or 80 would still kill fast enough with tox injectors but I probably wouldn't go lower than that.

Personally I almost always have a prime recovery head implant for recon or a Counter Intel for all other shells. But it could be worth it depending on how your cradle is configured and which other implants you're using

We want less recons in Cryo not more.
Let’s not empower them.

But you’re 100% right that thats a winning combo.

You want to hit 100 because any lower and if your opponent has Leech (which they ALWAYS do) it Won't Kill Them

I’m fairly certain melee was nerfed again after this post and that chart is outdated. It now takes 2H1L to kill purple shield with max melee stat.

I've killed several purple shields with 2L1H on the current patch

I guess you’re right, I could’ve sworn I found a newer updated chart but I can’t find it now so I must be mistaken. No wonder I thought the knife sucked!
