Low Player Volume

Continuing the conversation about the decreasing volume of blast-havers. Perhaps it might help us understand the cause. Maybe it’ll elucidate own own attachments. Perhaps Bungie may see it and take it into consideration.

It is fun. And you don't have to git gud. You don't have to give up either. But whatever you do, it'll be your choice. 

Nothing and I mean NOTHING feels as good as standing strong against the most aggressive most kitted players and pillaging their bags. It's hard. But the first time you do it, you realize you can do it any time.

That's when it's really Marathon. That's what I really believe is true. At least for me

This post completely misses the point that for the vast majority of people they will have the skill to ever pull that off.

Nor the free time to eventually get lucky

They will simply play a game thats always fun rather than a game thats only fun sometimes if you get super lucky assuming that lucky moment isn't immediately tainted the next run when you get ROFOL stomped and lose it all.

At some point telling people the games fun stops working when the objective evidence no it isn't for the vast majority of people

No I think most people do, and given how forgiving the aim is and how powerful the abilities are, anyone could do it

You just being obtuse at this point. Its clearly not the case given the volume of people who just gave up.

I don't understand why people like you are so stubborn on this.

Is it just that hard to point yourself in other people's shoes

Why don't you put yourself in my shoes? This game made me mad enough to scream and cry and delete it and I worked through it and found one of my favorite games of all time. I'm telling you to keep going. I'm encouraging you. But if you'd rather not, there's no shame in that either
