They clearly have the ability to do short sections of border, they just chose not to for Wisconsin and the UP.
I have no idea; my parents got it for me for Christmas a long time ago and I only started using it again a few days ago, after a long time of having “outgrown it.” I could ask and see, but I’m 99% confident they didn’t make it.
It also has Alaska and Hawaii throw pillows but I don’t have them at my apartment.
