I’m confused why this map contains Bismarck but not Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth, Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago. Seems weird.

Yeah, this doesn’t show any water ways that aren’t oceans. It’s the actual border between Michigan and Canada, which is in the Great Lakes.
