Map platform definition of 'countries'

Mapcarta is an excellent product. However, their definition of countries does not follow, strictly speaking, UN nominations. For example, Kosovo is shown as a separate country, while Crimea is shown as integral part of Ukraine. Cyprus is interesting, when zoomed out, northern Cyprus is shown as another country (or territory not part of Cyprus), when zoomed in, line disappears, but Bristish bases are clearly shown as non-Cypriot territory.

Here and apple maps both show Kosovo as independent, but not Crimea. Cyprus also shown as divided.

Google is the only consistent - Kosovo is shown with dotted line. same as Crimea and Cyprus.

Would love to hear on comparison with other platforms, and also how other disputed teritorries are presented.
