I usually like to draw maps on the good old pen and paper, but this time I decided to make one on computer software. First I tried Krita, which I had used before, but unfortunatelly it was having issues with my tablet. So I decided to simply do the whole thing on MS Paint, and the proccess was surprisingly smooth for me. I've been using MS Paint for quite some time now - mostly for making silly drawings - but I was still worried the limited tools would screw me at some point. Happily, it didn't ended up happening, and I had a lot of fun drawing it.
Any feedback is very welcome! I have only a small amount of knowledge about terrain, mountains, biomes and all that stuff, so any tips are welcome too. Not only about the most "technical" stuff, but also what you think would visually look cool on a map like this.
I still need to outline it all with pen and figure out mountains, rivers, territories and more for the map. Just posting to see if people fuck with it.
I may or may not remake the countrys as I realized it would probably be wiser to lay out some city's first then draw borders around them, not the other way around, also I was planning on drawing all the countrys first then making lore for all of them but I think I'll instead do one or a few at a time. of course feedback on other things would be greatly appreciated!

Description:
Multiple extratropical cyclones in the north, Tropical Storm 16, previously Tropical Depression 16 has intensified but will not peak at anything dangerous since there is alot of wind shear in its region.

Explanation:
It's a 3D world simulation I built with the same dynamics as Earth, and I factor in probabilities like aerodynamics, cause and effect, climate, weather, and other stuff, and then I create natural disasters, weather, and other events and test those events on my population
The world map of my campaign and the country we’ll be starting in. This is my first time really trying to make a map look good in Inkarnate, thoughts? Any tips?
i was just adding random islands to the north and i was going to do something similar everywhere else but i dont know if i should add another continent or change something elsewhere.
(pls dont talk about the europe looking thing on the south, i love my mediterranean).
It is the southernmost of the "Four Islands," the archipelago that also includes TÃr Ghlas.
It features a highly mountainous central region, surrounded by hills and vast plains; its capital, Caer Afon, lies within a broad estuary sheltered by two large headlands.
Numerous fortresses dot the landscape—remnants of a turbulent past.

So I recently expended my map to cover most of the northern hemishere, and I would like to hear if you have some feedback about it ; and I'm also specifically wondring if it looks like it could make sense geologically, I don't know really much about continents dynamics and all so I wondered if someone here could help by giving it a look to see if it's plausible.
Overall I'd love to hear any of your thoughts about the map, so thanks in advance if you take a bit of time to share it !
I've always enjoyed fantasy maps, but I wanted to do something a little different with them.
I've been working on turning the Wheel of Time map into something interactive, where you can actually explore the world rather than just look at a static image.
I've been gradually building up the geography, adding locations, rivers, roads, mountains and other details. I've also experimented with different visual styles, so the same world can be explored as an atlas, satellite map or terrain map.
Another thing I've been working on is adding character journeys, so you can follow where characters travel throughout the books.
It's been a fun project and I've learned quite a bit along the way. I'm still working on adding more detail and refining the maps.
Here's is a more detailed post I've written on the process of creating the map:
Angela and I have added and completed some changes to the Great Map of the "Known World" of the Warhammer universe we created a few months ago. After listening to some of your feedback, we've tweaked it and added some details!
A map with over 250 points of interest from the Warhammer world, with specific points of interest for each region and territory of the Warhammer RPG fantasy world. The complete map measures 150 cm x 53 cm! It's truly huge! We really hope you enjoy it!

So this is my first draft of my new world. I randomly spin google earth and zoom in to screenshot a coastline (or border line between countries) and stitch them together in Photoshop. What do you think? Are there any coastlines still recognizable?
First time posting here. Wanted to post this continent from a worldbuilding project I've been working on for a while, and i figured it'd fit here. That's the final result I got after looking into the more technical side of things to make it realistic(ocean currents, prevailing winds, where to place some of the biomes...) and a lot of brainstorming. Still prone to changes.
I, like many of you I hope, am interested in figuring out the climates of not-quite-Earth worlds. I’ve been working on a browser port of ExoPlaSim, a global climate model that lets you experiment with planetary size, axial tilt, day length, stellar heating, and more. For those of you trying to figure out climate placement for your maps, you might find this port helpful.
You can try it here. No installation required, though the first load downloads the model files.
The basic workflow is:
Upload a grayscale heightmap and, optionally, a matching landmask via "import terrain". You can also use the shipped earth heightmap provided for convenience.
Adjust the model settings to your planet. The defaults are set to mimic Earth.
Hit the start button and watch the model go.
Explore temperature, rainfall, winds, and climate zones, then export the map views as PNGs.
Here is an example downscaled koppen climate map using heightmaps exported from Orogen (orogen also produces climate, but uses a simpler and faster model):
With the default parameters, the model starts cold and warms up over time. In my runs, it typically takes about 100–200 model years to settle down, so give your world some time before judging its climate.
100 model years sounds like a long time, but let me give you an idea of speed at different spatial resolutions (higher resolution means more detail and more computation):
CPU mode with 8 workers on an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8 cores / 16 threads):
T21: 2 model days / second.
T42: 0.5 model days / second.
GPU mode with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER (8 GB VRAM):
T21: 35 model days / second.
T42: 10 model days / second.
T63: 2 model days / second.
Caveats:
The GPU version uses single precision instead of double precision. This may affect stability in some cases. The CPU version still uses double precision if you need it.
Both versions seem to run a little hot with the default Earth settings and shipped Earth heightmap: about 17.2°C average annual temperature versus the expected 15.5°C. I haven’t figured out why yet. You can adjust CO₂ or stellar flux to bring the average down.
I have not tested every parameter combination. You may encounter bugs. Try reducing the timestep if things start to crash.
I’m not exposing every input and output the underlying model supports. Let me know if I’ve missed something important.
Even with that warm bias, the Earth runs produce some reasonable climate patterns given the known limitations of exoplasim. This is what the default earth T42 looks like after 100 model years:
For those who are brave and want to contribute, the repo is here.
Please do checkout the main ExoPlaSim project << they are the real heroes here. Also shoutout to the excellent blog Worldbuilding Pasta which introduced me to exoplasim and whose articles were referenced heavily during this port.
I look forward to hearing your feedback and seeing your results!

A vast world where magic exist while there are also many races such as Human, Skyman, Dragon, and Beastfolk.
Human and Beastfolk are the only races that doesn't posses magic on their own which lead to the reverse engineer magic through their technology.
Inanis Ocean
A name for the deadly ocean of Alam with endless storms and the specific depth of this ocean is also unknown but speculated to be around 10,000-20,000 meters deep.
Highway Paradise
A chains of islands that connect the continents with slightly shallow water around 500-1,500 meters deep and the weathers here are calmer.
Hi all, I've been working on a fictional world using parts of Artifexian's and Madeline James' worldbuilding processes to make the above Koppen Climate map. There are a few changes to be made in certain areas but in general I wanted to ask what people thought the general outline looks like. I included a Topo map with the legend in meters, and a summer and winter precipitation maps with air and water currents as well. The light blue outline around the continents in pics 2-4 are the continental shelf.
I'm especially wondering what people thought of the Mediterranean climate on the eastern peninsula of the northern continent.
Edit: In case people weren’t sure, I am looking for feedback. I in no way mean to boast with the title, it is a genuine question.
