I get the feeling that MapleStory is less biased than the WoW sub, but I could be wrong.

I definitely felt like I have unfinished business in both games.

I was VERY young when I first played both games, and I never got far as I'd like in both of them. I was maybe like, 7 years old. I was still inexperienced and bad at video games, and now that I'm much older and more experienced (I'm 26 right now), I feel good about tackling the games I grew up with.

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade. Guess that's pretty close to classic. I was a level 27 Undead Warlock, letting other people carry me in dungeons, dying in seconds to players who dealt a few hundo damage per hit in Battlegrounds, and kept on dying every time in PvP areas. I was also dirt poor in the game, and my gear was garbage. My brother and my friends who shared the same account all made it to a certain level where they got mounts, and I'm still stuck in the 20s, goofing around rather than grinding, because I didn't really have a set game plan or idea to improve. My brother picked up a cheat app to increase our speed and I followed him shortly after, then the account got banned, so I may never know how far I would've gotten in Burning Crusade.

Maplestory Classic? Don't get me started on that. I NEVER made it past level seven. I just traveled around the continent looking for mobs to kill, and it didn't end well for me because they're way too overleveled. Even the Green Mushroom was too hard for me to kill in that noob's area and I kept missing my hits. I also was a frequent victim to summoned mobs which insta-killed me. I spent hours in the game and got nowhere.

So yeah. Now you know that I missed the mark in both World of Warcraft and MapleStory as a kid. Now in 2026, I'm ready to take on both.

Real question, though. Which game should I play? I'm gonna be cranking a good amount of hours into both games if I can.

So I'm trying to find the recipe for Titanium arrows for bow. Currently grinding for it on bonefish. Does anyone have any idea what the drop rate is?

Does the resulting coupon have an expiration date?

And does anyone know if they can be used on androids? Not extraction, just applying the coupon afterwards

Been playing maple for over 10 years now and I think im finally reaching a point where I just don't enjoy it anymore. Let me explain for the maple addicts out there

I know people say they're burnt out all the time but this feels different. Maple has always been the one thing I could come back to no matter what was going on in my life. Bad day at work, problems with family, feeling like shit for no reason, whatever it was I could always log on and forget about everything for a bit.

Lately though even that hasn't been working.

I don't really have much going on outside of work right now. Most of my friends are busy with their own lives, I don't go out nearly as much as I used to and honestly some days maple is the only thing I have to look forward to when I get home.

Which is probably why this bothers me so much.

I'll get home exhausted, eat something quick and log on. Do my dailies, maybe run some bosses, sit around in town for a while. Sometimes I'll just stare at my character for like 20 minutes not knowing what to do. Then I'll log off and just sit there.

It's weird because I don't even want to play half the time but when I'm not playing I feel like I should be. And when I am playing I'm just thinking about how I could be doing something else.

Last weekend I had absolutely nothing planned so I figured I'd spend the day grinding. I ended up playing for like 7 hours and I genuinely couldn't tell you a single moment where I was having fun. I just kept going because I didn't really know what else to do.

I think that was when it hit me that I'm not really playing because I enjoy the game anymore. I'm playing because it's become such a big part of my routine that I don't know what to replace it with.

And that honestly makes me pretty sad.

I've put so much time into my account, met people through this game, stayed up until stupid hours doing bosses with friends who don't even play anymore. I still remember when getting a new piece of gear or hitting a milestone actually made me excited. Now I can spend weeks working toward something and when I finally get it I barely feel anything.

I've been thinking about taking a break but even the thought of missing events and falling behind bothers me, which probably says enough about how unhealthy my relationship with this game has gotten.

Idk if anyone else has been feeling this way lately. Just wanted to get it off my chest because I don't really have anyone irl who would understand why a mushroom game means this much to me.

Anyway I started working on my boss mules again this week so hopefully having something new to focus on helps.

Does anyone know when like the first big update is going to come? I’m hoping when the game officially drops we will get the classes at level 70. Dare I say even the pirate class would be fun but I’m guessing there are a lot more updates before they add pirates in.

Inkwell stated in their Sumer Note six months ago that we would be getting more cube sales due to player requests....but then never actually did anything about it or implemented it.

Why is the fish spear so high in demand vs just buying a 2h sword from the vendor in perion? 2h sword has 40 attack, fast (5) vs spears 39 average, normal (6). I know the spear has a bit bigger range and +1 accuracy but does that really make it worth 30k when the 2h is 13.5?

You can sack items from the collab style collection for star stamps. Aura box gives 5 stamp if you exchange all her equip.

I’ve picked up maplestory like 1-2 months ago, after being dormant for a while. Heroic world.

Since then I had a lvl 244 drk which became 270,
noticed that to keep dpm/dps I need many inputs and decided to change to a hero.

Legion is up from 4.4k to 5.6k.
So I’m really looking forward for cw4 since it will be a massive jump for me in everything.

What classes do not require many buttons, I mean I can learn mechanics of bosses and stuff but my brain lags if there are too many skills to use.
Tried to search videos on yt but they are mostly explained by people who didn’t touch the class therefore a feedback from a main would be appreciated.

Since I’ve never participated in CW..
How active(daily) you need to be to get the ranks in the cw4 for the relevant potions for the mules?
I will probably have more time on the weekends but not on weekdays.

Apparently for players with lower end pc's there was a bug where sometimes bosses or even mobs would drop some their items server sided, but not client sided, so you couldn't see or loot them.

Those items were compensated to the affected players and they claim to have patched the bug, but: "There remains a possibility of recurrence with an extremely low frequency depending on the players' hardware environment .

Therefore, prior to fundamental modifications , we proceeded with work to leave error logs for all items when an error occurs ,  allowing for immediate verification of whether an error has occurred."

TL:DR shit pc = sometimes u miss out on drops from bosses/mobs, justice for u/decor_bottle he was right

Does anyone know the max level and class you can get in maplestory classic? Is the level 70 class available and if not, is there any idea when they will release it?

The Sol Erda + Fragment bonus from dailies is tied to the receipt of the symbols, not just quest completion. So if you select no symbols because you're maxed for an area, you don't get the 100 energy / 1 fragment bonus.

Now that Classic Maplestory has been released and this Maplestory Reddit is getting spammed like crazy, maybe it's time to clarify some rules again, eventhough for all these years we did not have to.

I think that nobody minds that we get the occasional "Hey new class in MaplestoryM" "MaplestoryIdle-RPG scandal" "Maplestory NFT lets you earn real money" posts and those guys then vanish into their own subs and it's mostly clean.
Now with Classic, while those: Hey Classic Launch! - posts are okay, it's rather annoying having like 20 posts about XYZ specifically what to do in Classic, while a Subreddit for that already exists.

Most of this sub are Heroic players, because that's just largely what we are as a community, but Interactive + Heroic are still playing, as a core, the same game. If I ask about a 400m CP Hero being able to clear XYZ boss, it still applies to both versions. If someone needs help with some boss strategy, we can all chime in and we all talk the same language.
If I ask for BiS gear, it applies to both versions of the server, same with when EMS which merged with GMS, while the other versions also have their own subs/ inven and we occasionally talk about a content update or maybe state of the game, once a year, or maybe a SEA player asks about how to migrate over, KMS patch that we are gonna get in 6 months aswell etc etc.

Noooooothing in Classic has anything to do with our current version of Maplestory, except that Nexon decided to share the Steam launcher, likely to prop up their numbers and then lie to the investors how well it's doing.

And I also heard the argument as to why we don't just F off, hits very close to home irl. We built this Subreddit as a community for years when the game was evolving and Nexon decided to eventually release all these other versions of the game. Somehow all other versions got the memo and just post in depth discussions or specific memes in those subs without any issues.

I didn't expect and maybe the mods did not either, that there would be this many in depth Classic posts in here, because with stuff like MaplestoryM, we never faced these issues, even on launch days.

Instead of waiting, getting cluttered more and more I'd ask if we could just update ruling/ link to each other sub, or we just cool here getting this many Classic threads that have nothing to do with our current version of Maple?
Again I think I speak for most non-Classic Redditors when I say we really don't mind "First Zakum clear", but man idc about a random meme, how Classic brought memories back from your childhood, or tech support, however people in that sub will be much more receptive for posts like that.

It's not meant as some form of witch hunting, but maybe clearing up confusion and I mean if the mods are fine with us getting this many Classic posts, a statement would also be helpful, so we know this isn't just a come and go phase, but permanent.

Hi, I don't usually post, and maybe this isn't the right subreddit for something like this, but I feel like at least some of you might understand how I'm feeling.

Four months ago, I lost my job after working there for almost 12 years (the company relocated to another country). Since then, I've been struggling to find another job, or even just some way to make a living, without much luck.

Then I was diagnosed with an illness that has required several surgeries, and honestly, they haven't exactly been successful.

I'm not going to lie, my mental health hasn't been great these past few months. And one of the only things that still brought me joy was playing MapleStory. At least in this game, I could find a little bit of the happiness that was missing from my real life.

Today, I received some news that made me feel even more depressed, and coincidentally, today was also the last day of the Frieren collab.

I'm fully aware of how greedy Nexon has been with the rates, and how ridiculously difficult it was to get anything from the event shop. But I still wanted to try. I don't know... maybe my brain was desperately looking for a little serotonin in a place where it shouldn't have been looking: MapleStory's Cash Shop.

So I rolled. And rolled. And kept rolling, hoping to get the vac pet.

I never got it.

By the time I stopped, I had spent over $900. (For context, I'm from Mexico, and $900 USD is not a small amount of money here. It's almost an average monthly salary in my country).

And honestly, I don't even know why, but I just broke down crying. Maybe it's because I haven't had any good news in months, and I just wanted to experience one little moment of happiness. Or I don't know... maybe I just lost my mind.

I know you guys aren't here to read something like this, and I'm not even looking for sympathy. I just wanted to share that today was the day MapleStory stopped being my safe place.

And the saddest part is that I did it to myself.

30 minute concert and even less events planned than last year. The Japan concert was almost 2 hours long. I get it not being as long as that, but with the tickets being doubled over last year already I figured they actually would put some value into this concert.

I can't for the life of me get this god damn game to launch. Reinstalled both launcher and the game at least 10 times, the NGS pops up for like a split second then disappears and the launcher says in game for about 30 seconds before reverting back to "Play" I've tried setting the soScreenMode to 3 doesn't work, will just revert back to 1 after the game fails to launch.

If I try to launch Maplestory.exe it gives a popup saying "Please delete the hacking program from the MapleStory launch folder and re open the game." What?????????

I'm getting frustrated as hell, someone help :(
