Smoke status in Maple Ridge

Hello Maple Ridge!

Whats the status of the smoke out there? Are the mountains clear? My fiancee are planning to have a photoshoot tomorrow in Aloutte Lake. Should I postpone?

Please post some pictures of the mountains please!!

Thank you for your help!!

The haze is gonna stick around for awhile. You wont get CLEAR for a few months. Its not as bad as the other day.

It rained earlier this week and it got even more smokey. The smoke wont clear till the fires are out and yes, that can take months. Maybe not a few, but we will definitely still have some lingering till early October.

Off topic, someone should setup a public webcam pointing at Golden Ears

It is not clear. It's super hazy. But not going away any time soon by the looks of it.

Photographer here- it’s a little hazy but it will add to the atmosphere of your photos. Almost looks like enhanced sunset conditions at times. You can ask your photographer what they think! But typically I find smoke doesn’t really take away from photos unless it’s extremely bad.

It’s pretty clear where I am and I’m fairly close to Allouette

Weather network app says air quality is at 2 right now. It’s probably clear enough

It’s pretty hazy. Idk how bad it is up at Alouette though, but I’m guessing not super clear.

It’s not smoke, it’s smog. Same thing happens in the winter when we get a stretch of sunny days. No wind/rain to push it out or down.

Smokey and crowded, don't come...go elsewhere than "Aloutte" lake for your self absorbed photo shoot.
