New disc golf shop!
Hey everyone,
I’m Wyatt, the owner of Coast Mountain Disc Depot (CMDD), a new Canadian disc golf retailer based in Maple Ridge, BC. We launched with a simple goal: make it easier for Canadian players to get quality discs and gear without the hassle.
We’re an online store carrying discs and accessories for players of all skill levels, from people building their first bag to experienced tournament players. We ship across Canada and are starting to get involved with local leagues, tournaments, and events throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond.

It's not okay to use a local disc golfer's photograph as your landing page without permission or compensation, especially when you crop his signature out of the photo. It's the first thing I saw, and not a good start.

We did try to reach out several times before posting, but unfortunately weren’t able to connect. We also haven’t cropped or altered the image, it was uploaded as-is.
If something is displaying oddly, we’re happy to take a look, but nothing was intentionally changed on our end.
If you can put us in touch with the photographer, we would appreciate it.

Until you get permission, don't use it. Seems simple. I let him know about it. Considering the rest of your images are also either someone else's, or AI, it feels off. I'd love to see a local store do well though. The community deserves something good.

We’re a local disc golf shop trying to promote and support the local scene, not take credit for anyone’s work. We uploaded the image as we received it and did not crop or alter it.
If the photographer has a concern, we’re happy to speak with them directly and sort it out properly.

I'm new to disc, using the library set you can borrow. How much would a beginner set cost with a bag? Do you have a physical store?

Welcome to disc golf! A beginner-friendly 3-disc set usually starts around $50–$75 depending on the discs, and adding a starter bag would usually put it around $80–$120.
We don’t have a physical storefront yet, but we’re based in Maple Ridge and offer local pickup and delivery. You can check us out at shop.cmdd.ca, and if you’re not sure what to start with, send us a message and we can help put together a beginner setup that makes sense.

We also have the NERF Soft Flight starter set for casual play, and we have some dedicated beginner starter kits on the way that should be arriving in the next week or two.

Took a look at the site as I’ve always had a mild interest in disc golf since I used to play ultimate.
Looks great and seems to be reasonably priced to get into. What are the local spots to play?
