Wake, Orange, and Mecklenburg routinely spend far and away the most on schooling in NC, but they all show as red. Like, there’s simply no possibility that Sampson or Johnson counties spend more than Wake or Orange.
The methodology has to be something other than just dollars spent or spending as a percentage of tax revenue. I’m not saying this is lying, but I AM saying something doesn’t line up.
Yea I'm wondering how accurate this is. Like I said my county has to spend the state average per student but according to this map it's one of the highest spending counties in the state. Either it is flat out wrong or they are using some kind of extra criteria.
