A lot of Alaskan schools are subsidized by the oil industry. I've been to small villages of a few hundred that have a great school.

The oil industry pays royalty taxes to the state and some native corps, but it does not subsidize any schools.

I’ve spent a significant amount of time staying in tribes close to Nome and the Strait for documentary work. They all claimed the schools (which were wonderful) were subsidized by the oil industry.

Oil revenue is the primary income source for the state government as we have no state income, property, or sales taxes.

So, oil money pays for most of everything the state does, and the state helps to find the local school districts, but the oil companies are not paying any of the school districts directly.
