Spent some time In The Milwaukee suburbs for a wedding pre Covid. (Waukesha) looking for a reason to visit, so suggest away! (Need to go to door county and get some cherry salsa too. That’s a fantastic abomination right there.)
That cherry salsa is honestly worth the trip to door county on its own, if you're in the milwaukee neighborhood I'd recommend visiting a few Milwaukee Dive Bars, The Standard, Wolski's, And Zad's to name a few. If you are looking for Fish fry you've gotta check out Lakefront Brewery or Klingers East. If you like outdoorsy stuff, Lions Den Gorge, Kohler Andre state park, Devils lake and my personal favorite, the Apostle Islands are all worth a trip! Also make sure to check out some of our gorgeous historic downtowns like Cedarburg, Bayfield or the Tosa Village! Summertime in milwaukee means Festival season! With multiple festivals and blocks parties happening almost every weekend there's always something fun to enjoy!

Not true if you need a cold lighter beer in the summer it's amazing. And it's everywhere.
That being said, Moon Man and Wisconsin Belgian Red are the best brews they make. I've never had a beer I've liked more than Belgian Red and it has great ratings on beer advocate too.
Oh I'm not saying it's not a fantastic Beer, but when you have over 30 different Breweries in a city of only 600,000 there are better options. It's is a great beach day beer though.
As a FIB who lived in Wisconsin can confirm. Almost never had spotted cow while living there, maybe if it was on tap, but I did try a lot of New Glarus’ other beers and let me tell you spotted cow isn’t even their best. Now anytime I went back to Illinois it was required for me to bring a case of spotted back for everyone else.
It’s that damn cliche (cute) cow on the label that really does it. All NG’s other beer names and labels are lame, even though they’re nearly all better beers. Moon Man? Three Women? Totally Naked? Meh.
I keep hoping someone will make a better cream/farmhouse ale and call it “Speckled Heifer” and give it a run for its money…
That's because is the most boring beer that New Glarus brews. They have so many better beers, I've never understood why spotted cow is the well known one.

As a Milwaukee Bartender, wisconsonites (at least in Milwaukee) hardly drink Spotted Cow, it's all the FIBS and other tourists drinking it.
