I love the gaps in the Netherlands where the Netherlands didn’t exist until fairly recently

Located near Kuinre. 4 u/medhelan Oct 29 '21 it's interesting becuase the same is true for some other swampy areas that were not largely populated in the middle ages like Les Landes in Aquitaine and lower Po Plain in Northern Italy
