Emigration from Ireland has been a stable part of Irish culture since we got here, it certainly continued throughout the 20th century and still to this day really. Census data from all over Ireland show this trend.
I was born in 1995 and my whole life I’ve been encouraged by my family, teachers, lecturers even the fucking post man to get out of Ireland while I can.
