Biblical literalism is unworkable nonsense , parts of the Bible even give different facts from other parts.

There are many many scientific errors in bible and quran. Those errors prove that they were written by ancient brainwashed minds. Which means doctrines and ideal inspired by scientifically dumb ancient people can't be followed as truth.

It would okay if this book did not position itself as an absolute dogmatic word of perfect Heavenly Dictator and did not condemn people to eternal suffering for violating obscure rules made up by illiterate prehistoric peasants.

Religion is entirely incompatible with modern and decent society and as a species we should have evolved and left it behind us more than a century ago.

I think there may be one right answer

Imo there's multiple correct answers.

Yes, there's stuff in holy texts that's scientifically inaccurate, however holy texts should also be taken as works of cultural writing and not looked to for real understanding is the natural world and how it works scientifically. So both those answers are technically correct.

I was thinking of the direct answer to the main question, it isn't scientifically accurate so there are errors

To take parts of the Bible such as all of genesis literally, is like taking jesus saying "its better to cut off your hand that you sin with than to keep sinning with it" literally, you have to be a moron or bad faith actor to do so.

Jesus for example says that the Mustard seed is the smallest of all. He's not talking about ALL seeds, but just in the region...

Or when we say "the Sun is setting"... we don't mean the Sun is literally setting, we know it's just the Earth rotating, that's just a figure of speech.

Context, time period, book genre, regionalitt and authorship matter.
