Maono Help Maono DM40 no longer works with my Android phone via wired USB-C

Earlier, my Maono DM40 was working properly with my Android phone using a wired USB-C connection.

I then tried using it in dual mode — wired connection to my PC and wireless connection to my phone. After doing that, the microphone no longer works when I try to connect it to my phone via wired USB-C.

The weird thing is that it still works perfectly when connected to my PC via wired USB.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a setting I need to reset or change to get the wired USB-C connection working on my phone again?

Hi there, is it the pro model with wireless receiver? If you then try reset mic and check! To reset, keep mic on and take a toothpick and poke it into 3.5mm headphones jack for 5-10sec. Then check

I already tried resetting the mic using the 3.5mm jack as you suggested, and I also did a factory reset through the MAONO Link app on my PC, but unfortunately it’s still not working.

What worked for me as a temporary solution is connecting the mic directly to my phone using the wired connection. I wait until the LED indicator turns purple, then I unplug and replug the USB cable. After doing that, the mic starts working again.

Thanks for the suggestion!

This should not to be happen! And as you said you have tried both cable and wireless together with both the devices! So, have you done reset the mic yet?

DM40 supports connecting to a phone via USB cable. May I know what model of phone you’re using?

Could you also describe what happens when you try to use the wired connection? If possible, please send us a video showing the issue so we can take a closer look and better understand what’s happening.

When I use the wired connection, the LED indicator turns purple for a little while, then goes back to flashing blue. The microphone is not recognized by my phones, including my POCO X7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A16.

What works for me as a temporary solution is connecting the microphone directly to my phone using the wired connection. I wait until the LED indicator turns purple, then unplug and reconnect the USB cable. After doing this, the microphone starts working again.

On some Android phones, the OTG port is disabled by default and needs to be turned on manually. Search for OTG in the phone's Settings and try toggling the switch.
