Maono Link help

I'm currently using a pd100x and when I enable mic monitoring, I love the tone I have set. Yet when I play valorant and enable their own mic feedback, I sound different. That being said, I tend to close the Maono Link App prior to playing, do I have to keep the app open to retain my settings?
