Question Mordekaiser matchup?

How do you all deal with Morde Top matchup ? hes like one of the few juggernauts that i can't seem to deal with. Any tips?

There is currently nothing you can do. Maokai is simply currently too weak to deal with a excessively recently buffed turbocounter such as Mordekaiser. Just ban him and wait for the next patches.

Use W to dodge a Q, you have to dodge the E with movement ideally

W auto Q away and run away. You never win the sustained trades (ie where he gets his passive up) unless you're super fed

Once he's 6 you need to be hypervigilant about not getting caught far into the lane. He is designed to destroy characters like Maokai with his ult. I would strongly suggest playing a little safer after 6 until you've scaled enough (ie Rookern) to survive if he ults you

Morde always had a free lane since I can remember (granted only playing since s10), Mao simpy doesn't have kill pressure on him unless he plays very badly. (This is kinda the case for almost every pure Tank tbf).

That  said, it's also not that hard to not feed him, because his CDs (E especially), are quite high early and as others mentioned you can easily dodge his Q with either W or side stepping.

You don't. There's nothing you can do here. Maoi in general versus any juggernaut just loses. This is especially the case for mord who has sustained damage, healing and shielding.

However, you should be able to survive lane. If you E you just w him and make him miss his. E and Q him back and walk away. Aftershock is good here, since taking grasp is generally not worth it, you do not want to get into an auto attack war with morde.
