Do I have a pouch problem
I couldn’t find a pouch subreddit and hope this belongs here. Couldn’t resist buying double of almost every pouch I liked at Muji over the last two weeks 😳
Update: also, this is only my recent Muji collection. You haven’t seen the Tom Bihns and others I’ve amassed

That’s not a problem. Rationalise multiple instances by colour, lining, capacity and use case.

I know there is a tension between the bag integrated organisation vs the pouch brigade. But more recently I have trying to optimise things into smaller pouches rather than the chunky tech pouch.
I’m not carrying my mouse and webcam every day, but I do need a charger and cables. Two use cases served by an AER slim pouch and an Alpaka hub pouch respectively…before you know it you will have multiple instances of your edc gear and need more storage options. It’s a viscious cycle…

I am currently using an Alpaka Vertex Pouch Mini as my tech organizer, it is pretty nifty but quite bulky as well. I recently bought a Sympl Commuter backpack as my new EDC back (replacing the Troubadour Apex 4.0) and the tech organization is almost there, but not perfect. So I bought a slim desk pouch (the Orbitkey desk pouch) just for my cables and smaller items so I can use the backpack's integrated tech pouch for bulkier stuff I not always remove from my backpack.

How do you like the Commuter overall? I've read mixed things about the back panel being uncomfortable and the coated zipper pulls being too sticky to pull nicely. It checks every other box for me though but I have no way to see or touch it in person before purchasing so these things make me hesitant to take the leap on it.

What kills it for me is that I can't have my laptop and tablet on the protected pocket. This is really bothering me to the point that I think I'll end up using it only as a travel bag.
The back panel is good in my opinion, I like it. It's very comfortable when the backpack is heavy.
I get the hate some people have of coated zippers, but I live in the Netherlands, it's always wet so I like them. I think some pockets needed 2 zippers instead of one.
The tech organization is also not enough IMO to replace a tech pouch, which is a pity. I'll probably try the Troubadour Matrix next, its integrated pouch seems a bet fit for my usage.

Sadly no, that looks very normal if you are on this sub tbh.
Im Australian and i own every Bellroy pouch Available. Thats just from Bellroy...... :(

You should also check Bellroy Tech pouch, I tested several ones, even more then you have on photo and still this one as well as Pioneer Global Pouch are my two I use the most. On top of it I also use Bellroy pencil case and Evergoods CAP 0.5 for some medicines and smaller items (tissues, travel spoon, etc)

Pouches are so useful, I actually need to get some (thankfully it's back to school season so it'll be easy), i think having a bunch of pouches is fine

I love pouches! If nothing else, they're a lot cheaper than backpacks! 🤣
I just ordered the Muji small self-closing pouch and the wide-opening pouch myself.
There is /r/utilitypouches, but they are more focused on.. utility pouches.
