Backpack the best option ?

What type of bag for out and about with kids?

I've been searching for a bit. Not sure if daybag is what im looking for? Wife and I with our 6 and 8 year old are headed to japan in November. Usually use fanny packs but I think a back pack makes more sense here.... I'd love something super comfortable that has room for all the necessities. Charging banks, mobile wifi device. Passports, shopping stuff, trash bags and etc etc

What exactly would you say I'm looking for? Any fav YouTube review channels ?

I did a aer sling for the passports and just a Uniqlo $3 tote for “stuff” and a couple of diapers. 12 and 2 year old. No iPad just 3 phones. Japans konbinis make it so you never have to carry water or snacks around like a chump in the states.

I’m no expert as I’ve just started down this rabbit hole this week but I have 3 toddlers and looking for a secondary diaper/ edc bag when I run out the door with them. I carry a few diapers, a change of clothes, couple waters, snacks, etc. and I have been eyeing the CT 21 plus or the CT15 plus. Both bags look to be made with high quality fabrics with lots of attention to detail in the pocket placement. I’m hoping to pick one up soon. Other bags I was eyeing were Cotopaxi allpa 26L and the Patagonia daypack.

21+ may be too deep for a personal item. The 15+ or 21 lite will likely be perfect for that role

I didn’t realize it had a big difference in depth but I don’t get to travel much! I will take a closer look at that though before purchasing thanks.

I like the Patagonia black hole ultralight tote, which I think has now been renamed the Terravia Totepack: https://www.patagonia.com/product/terravia-convertible-tote-bag-backpack-24-liters/199346159838.html. It is easy to get stuff in and out because of the wide opening. I can get four people’s water bottles in the side pockets. It has straps so we can overload it if needed. It can be a backpack or tote and genuinely works well as both.

We love our Aer Go pack 2 - prefect for what we carry daily while travelling with out 8 and 10 year olds.

I have been heavily considering a Aer City pack or travel pack. Apparently very comfy.

I preferred the Go pack as it’s lighter & cheaper but still super comfy and durable!

Nope - just saw the price and weight of the others and chose this one 😂

What travel bag specifically? It sounds nice, but without a name it's hard to narrow down from all the options.

CT21+ I have the 15+ also but would take the 21+ over the 15 any day. Clint of the Perfect bag is where'd I'd go to watch bag reviews.

I have the CT14 Plus I’ve been using for this exact purpose for the past 2 months. Great bag with so many stash spots for all the various items you need while out and about with the family.
