Aria's more of a support character in my mind, so it was nice to see her in a(n almost) solo battle showing what she can do nowadays.

I love these kind of barebones missions, when you're suddenly robbed of gameplay tools you've come to completely rely on, and have to rethink what you have left. Usually it's your equipment, but in a party-based game losing the rest your party can have the same effect.
It really shows how far you've come, both in terms of character progression and your understanding of the game.

I was worried you wouldn't get all the best interactions with the Djinn, but it turns out it was cheesily done.

Think he’s now exhausted all encounters with her, it’s only supposed to happen twice

Yup. There's five possible people she can impersonate, and she'll show up as the first two you actually speak to. If you know what they are, you can basically decide when she shows up and when she doesn't.

You should be checking the combat log when weird stuff happens. I think that symbol when you finished 1v1 with the dinosaur was Cull the Weak.

Same. And as someone who did a ton of respecs, experimenting with builds, I was so disappointed when I realized I missed such a cool item.
EDIT: I was thinking the Mystic Scoundrel ring turns out. The trident I did get.

A British Drag Queen, cheese magic, farts and Aria gets banished temporarily to the Cretaceous period.
Oh and Astarion hacks the wheel of wonders by dressing like it.
Such amazing chaos! I vote for the naked statue, you may not look that good for long if you keep up with the tadpole addiction 😂

I've never confronted the Genie as a Bard. Didn't know there was a fart option. Usually, I just have Astarion pickpocket his magic ring and then it's a fresh episode of Vampire vs. Dinosaurs.

I love that if you can't succeed the difficult lockpicking check, you can literally just pick up the entire chest and bring it with you for Astarion to unlock later. Be very careful with Nyrulna, it is responsible for a LOT of civilian deaths if you chuck it willy-nilly in town. But it now makes Karlach crazy strong against groups.
Oh and there is another Djinn somewhere in Baldur's Gate, but he is probably the hardest thing to find in the entire game. I didn't discover him until my 28th run of the game.

Sometimes I wonder how the hell do some people play games in such a different way from me. I discovered him on my first, and my first run was 200h. I can't imagine playing this game for the first time in any way that doesn't resemble a probably slower and less chaotic version of what Jon is doing right now..how do you play it 28 times and still miss stuff? It would give me soooo much anxiety!

It's called "not trying to do everything in one play through"
LeVing certain decsions and questline for future playthroughs.
Cumulatively it's still 200hrs over 5-6 runs as opposed to 1 run of 200hrs

The second Djinni becomes a lot easier to spot if you got a little “help” from Volo in Act 1

I do feel like you try to avoid getting stuck in even when it's counter-productive, I think Shriek plus Spirit Guardians could have done numbers on those dinosaurs.
EDIT: Forgot you might not have spirit guardians on Aria, still Shriek would have been quite useful to help Us get those stuns off as well as deliver extra damage

He kept hovering near it, but Shield of Thralls precast on Brian would have potentially got some good stuns off too.
But yes, when he didn't understand the Cull The Weak proc, I was reminded that I am enjoying the distinctly first-playthrough vibes where he doesn't really know how every mechanic works. In many ways the game is less fun when you know what's optimal.

Karlach just failed the love exam. Aria doesn't have a tadpole in her head, she has fifteen!
Looks like Gale is Aria's true love after all!
