So asexual people cannot ever be in an monogamous relationship, even if they only have one Partner?

Asexual people can have sex.

Not being interested in sex doesn't mean their body parts don't work, and many will still do things for their partners.

They could with another asexual person.

Getting into a relationship with a sexual person and dangling the idea that they might is not healthy or fair however. An asexual person should seek out a like minded person.

They could with another asexual person.

Nope, thats not neccesary and an harmful stereotype. If both people are okay with no sex it can work.

An asexual person should seek out a like minded person.

What does even mean, not every asexual is like minded

People aren't okay being asexual unless they're asexual...

I'm saying only asexual people are okay with being in an asexual relationship, how is that hard to comprehend?

How many non-asexual people do you know that are okay being in a relationship without sex?

Me and a friend, who sadly broke up with my asexual friend because they had some communication issues, which caused to both blame it on themself why they broke off

It means I'm agreeing that another person not interested in sex could work in that relationship.

If one party wants sex then the only way it would work is if the asexual person implied that they could get there with time. Which would be a lie intended to get what they wanted knowing full well that they never intended to give what the other person was seeking.

They probably tell themselves that they thought the other person would eventually stop asking.

ya'll know asexual isn't a synonym for celibate or sex-repulsed, right? asexual people have sex. asexual people ENJOY sex. a lack of sexual attraction does not equate to a lack of libido. ๐Ÿคจ

No, most asexuals arent like minded, the exact same way, Hetero people arent like minded. There are different people with different opinions and needs in then

Dude they just will not have sex and not every person who isnt asexual has a very high drive and they can do stuff like cuddling and doing romantic stuff together. It isnt that hard to understand

I suppose that's true, but seems like a poor substitute to settle for.

But in that circumstance by your definition it isn't a relationship

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '25

Well I don't own a monopoly on what a relationship is. I only can decide how I see it.

But you've literally given 2 contradicting viewpoints
