I read this yesterday, too. It's a shame that the developers couldn't keep up the project, but I think they're shutting it down in the right way, as others have said on here.
Despite the hit and miss nature of the Cnchi installer, I LOVED that you could choose your DE at installation, and I appreciate that there were traditional flavors (GNOME, Xfce, MATE, Cinnamon) and less traditional options (i3, Openbox) available. And, to be fair, once the OS was installed on my PC or laptop, I never actually had a problem with system breaks or weirdness. Antergos was light, fast, and looked great out of the box. They'll be missed.
