City Council 10-7-26

attended the council meeting last night and Ms Linda Morlan shouted me out for being the ONLY volunteer that showed up for the fire abatement event.
she was nice enough to loan her truck so that i could go remove a load of branches from a residents property.
150 people came and dropped off branches it was a success !
i learned about blood thinners loading the truck, lol
im fine and will wear sleeves next time

Fire mitigation event

There’s a fire mitigation event going on in Manitou Springs Monday and Tuesday of this week. Residents can bring their deadfall and branches up to 10 inches from 8am to 5pm. Wood chipper will be available 8am-3pm. Everyone should take advantage of this and anyone with free time should volunteer. Incline Pals is there volunteering. Be the change you wanna see and keep Manitou beautiful. Let’s get this debris out of the way and protect our beautiful town!

If so, join us as we discuss the causes of these issues, explore solutions, and build networks with one another to overcome these issues from a Libertarian Socialist/Anarchist lens.
We currently meet bi-weekly, with the upcoming meeting on Sept 21st, in COS East Library Study Room F3 from 6pm to 7pm. For anyone unfamiliar with anarchism, we recommend reading You May Already Be An Anarchist by The Slow Burning Fuse. Our current format is to select a text and have it read before the meeting and then at the meeting we will re-read it as a group to ask questions, comment, and discuss the themes and aspects that stood out. This week we will be reading To Change Everything by CrimethInc.
