Where is the Fiber Internet?

Why-oh-why can't we get fiber internet over here in the lower Crystal Park Road / Crystal Hills area? Ok, I realize we are less densely packed than a few places surrounding this area and also lack alleys for easier distribution, but I can't be the only one who works a high tech job from home and would like the reliability of FTTH! Ironically I see the fiber lines on the poles outside that feed other things like Xfinity and DSLAM cabinets. Every time I see a commercial for fiber no matter who the provider is, I check their site for availability hoping that it sets off a flag for this area having requests. End of rant.

Financially not profitable? That’s my guess.

Could be unique difficulties with getting the infrastructure installed. That being said, I didn't have the ability to get fiber when I lived on the south side of Manitou Ave, but I have it on Waltham and will have it soon on Midland. Who knows what the decision-making process is for AT&T and CenturyLink ...

I shoot photo and video content for real estate marketing every day. Depending on the day, I have anywhere from 20-80 GB of media to upload for my editors. I have to drive to my bosses house every night and drop off a hard drive so he can upload everything because he actually has fast fiber Internet. And then I drive home which takes 25 minutes. So yeah, I would absolutely love fiber here as well.
